For travellers in the waiting lounge who have some spare time, there are storytelling booths with humorous and interesting stories about the Arlanda Express: including one about an angry moose that once attacked a train.

"Over 20 million passengers have travelled on our trains. Over the years many funny and interesting events have occurred. We want to share these with our staff and passengers," says Per Thorstenson, CEO of Arlanda Express.

The professionals at the Arlanda Express, however, didn't just stop with the trains' brightly coloured new interiors and the story telling booths. They are passionate about creating a totally unique experience for their passengers in every aspect of the journey with a variety of creative and fun surprises. The voices of high profile celebrity athletes, actors, musicians, writers, and politicians greet passengers and welcome them to Stockholm. Passengers are also treated to surprises such as delicacies served by the Swedish national team of master chefs on the station platform, speedometers on the trains showing the high speeds, live classical music played for them at Stockholm's Central Station and roses handed out on St.Valentine's Day.

The Opportunity - An Important Centre for Design
The projects were part of their strategy to make the Arlanda Express a natural part of Stockholm, and a way for them to reinforce the image of both Stockholm and Sweden as an important centre for design. Once all the seven different interior designs were completed by Björn Borg's designers, the management realised that they needed to outfit the carriages with displays to provide information and entertainment during the journey.

The Solution - A-Train's Passionate Professionals Select AG Neovo
The passionate professionals at A-Train selected AG Neovo's X-Series for multiple reasons. The attractive, metal casing and stylish looks perfectly suited the train's new interiors. The hard glass protection of NeoV™ Optical Glass provids the durability required in a public environment which sees thousands of passengers a day. In every high-speed train of the Arlanda Express, twenty X-17 displays are installed throughout the carriages.

The Result - Record Year for Arlanda Express
Arlanda Express had its best year ever in 2007. A new passenger record was set with 2.75 million travelers. If airport employees and passengers who travel with other train operators are included a total of four million passengers used the facility in 2007. In 2008, Arlanda Express set a new passenger record in May with 270,000 passengers, an increase of 8,5 percent compared with May 2007.

The Arlanda Express dares to be a little different and stand out while providing an exciting experience for millions of passengers. Many designers, engineers, and companies, including AG Neovo, contributed to this journey in design making the Arlanda Express one of the best transportation solutions in the world today.
